I had a Chapter 7 Bankruptcy that was discharged, can I keep my property and avoid it from going into foreclosure?

Question: I had a chapter 7 that was recently discharged and wanted to know if I can still keep the property?

Response by Pratul Lakhotia: Al though your debt with the Chapter 7 discharge is cleared, your lender will not allow you to keep the property and continue with the foreclosure. However, in certain cases, deals with your lender can be worked out to repurchase the property, but that would require the assistance of an expert Real Estate Attorney.
