Buying or selling a home may seem to be a rather intimidating task. However a realtor may be able to help buyers find a dream home for the least amount of money and help sellers to get rid of their old homes in the least amount of time for the greatest amount or money.

A good realtor will serve as a therapist, a counselor, a tour guide, a marketing expert, a directory, a negotiator, and a facilitator. Choosing an appropriate realtor can also be difficult. By using the following criteria, an individual may be able to find a realtor that will work for him or her:

Things to look for in your realtor:

  • Good communication skills
  • Full-time agent
  • Knowledgeable about the market
  • Utilizes current technologies
  • He or she is able to work well in a team and has a support staff
  • Professional reputation
  • Receptive to questions and able to give thorough answers
  • Good references
  • Character and charisma
  • Integrity
